Overview

This internship supports the Global WASH Unit by managing documentation systems, coordinating the WASH Community of Practice, and producing communication products for global WASH coordination and knowledge sharing.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a comprehensive audit and reorganize WASH-related shared drives, document repositories, and project folders.
  • Disseminate WASH news, resources, and emerging issues to Community of Practice members.
  • Develop project SharePoint sites and coordinate with the Innovation and Knowledge Management Unit.
  • Support management of logistics for WASH virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Develop visually compelling infographics, data visualizations, and promotional materials.
Required Experience
  • Less than two years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: knowledge management systems, documentation management, SharePoint administration, digital repositories, project coordination, administrative support, event management in international/nonprofit/UN settings, graphic design, infographic design, visual communications, data management, spreadsheet analysis.
Qualifications

Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent) or graduated within the last 12 months with a Bachelor's degree or higher in project management, knowledge management, information science, engineering, public health, communications, graphic design, business administration, organizational development, or a related field; or, enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).

Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
Contract Duration
6 months with possibility of extension

Remuneration
Depending on experience and location, IOM provides a small monthly stipend to help offset costs.
