Overview

This internship focuses on supporting supply chain functions within IOM Senegal, including procurement, asset management, and fleet operations, to ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the consolidation of procurement requisition forms and verify their compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, solicitation of bids, and bid analysis summaries.
  • Monitor open requisitions and follow up on timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Assist in reviewing vendor invoices and preparing payment requests.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of physical and electronic procurement records.
  • Participate in market surveys to identify potential new suppliers.
  • Assist in tracking contractual agreements and monitoring office supplies.
  • Provide support to fleet operations activities.
  • Assist in supply chain tasks related to property and asset management, warehousing, and transportation.
Required Experience

Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis; and, Experience delivering high-quality outputs within set timeframes, demonstrating excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines. Interns should have less than two years of relevant working experience.

Qualifications

Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent), or in a Master's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field; or Have graduated with a university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field, and if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.

Fluency in French is an advantage.

Remuneration
Depending on experience and location, IOM provides a small monthly stipend to help offset costs. IOM will also provide travel arrangements and will cover visa-related costs.
