Overview
Conduct National Climate Vulnerability Mapping of Health Service Delivery Systems using geospatial analysis to assess healthcare infrastructure vulnerability to climate stressors and identify high-risk areas in Turkiye.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and provide geospatial visualization of climate change threats to healthcare infrastructure.
- Correlate infrastructure coordinates with climate stressors over the past 10–15 years.
- Establish statistically significant vulnerabilities and identify high-risk hotspot areas.
- Formulate evidence-based policy recommendations for interventions and institutional responses.
- Submit an inception report detailing research objectives, methodological framework, data acquisition, and research schedule.
- Submit a preliminary report including analysis and policy recommendations.
- Finalize the report based on UNFPA feedback.
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant academic and research experience on public health, demography, social policy, economics, environmental policy or related fields. Previous experience in delivering similar assignments is an asset. Experience of work with the UN is an asset.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Public Health, Demography, Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Social Policy, Environmental Science or related field.
