Overview
Support UNICEF Oman’s Youth Advocate Programme by providing remote coordination for youth-led advocacy initiatives on child rights and issues affecting children and young people in Oman.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an online tracker of advocates’ work plans, milestones, and deliverables, updated weekly.
- Hold bi-weekly remote check-ins, flagging delays.
- Support remote scheduling of sessions and workshops.
- Coordinate communication between UNICEF and advocates.
- Support youth participation in UNICEF online campaigns.
- Produce written content including blog and feature pieces, a press release, and social media captions (bilingual Arabic/English).
- Review advocate content remotely within 2 working days against UNICEF communication standards.
- Provide remote coordination support for youth participation in programme events.
- Monitor progress against deliverables and keep online records current.
- Prepare a written progress summary each month.
- Submit a content-review log, a youth advocate press release (bilingual Arabic/English), caption-writing support, and a final programme summary report.
Required Experience
- Experience with youth programmes, volunteer programmes, advocacy campaigns, or NGOs.
- Experience coordinating projects or events, with strong organization and attention to detail.
- Communications, content review, or social media experience, and the ability to work with young people, are an asset.
Qualifications
A degree (or final-year study) in communications, development, education, social sciences, or a related field is an asset; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
