Overview
Provides project management support to the Burns Centre Capacity Building Project in Ukraine, ensuring health systems strengthening translates into observable and measurable humanitarian results.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with technical and project management counterparts in the ICRC, URCS and BRC to ensure coordination and complementarity.
- Work with ICRC health staff and BRC clinical delegates, support procurement and logistics related to clinical service needs and infrastructure improvements.
- Plan, facilitate and coordinate with the Kyiv Hospital 3 Director and Burns Unit administration.
- Project cycle management, including budget development, and monitoring, evaluation and learning, and financial and narrative reporting (internal and for donors).
- Support the development of an in-house secure Ukrainian language health management information system to facilitate patient care and project monitoring.
- Ensure Ukrainian health facility clinicians understand recommendations made by BRC and ICRC and to consider their implementation.
- Assist Health technical staff in BRC or ICRC, as relevant, in the coordination of assessments (e.g. infection prevention and control) and any reporting / recommendations stemming from these.
- Support BRC Human Resources and BRC and ICRC Health technical staff to recruit clinical delegates including job description preparation, promotion and interviewing.
- Supporting the deployment of BRC clinical delegates in Ukraine.
- Liaise with BRC Health technical staff and Ukrainian health facility management to support exchange visits of Burns Centre staff to UK health facilities.
- Support the planning of formal training by ICRC and BRC health delegates.
Required Experience
At least 5 years’ experience in health program management with knowledge of health service development. Experience in project cycle management. Experience managing donor, partner relationships, and coordination. Experience of supporting training and/or capacity building. Demonstrated experience in report writing and presentations.
Qualifications
University degree or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in medicine, public health, health management, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
