Overview

Provide reliable and safe driving services to UN Women officials and visitors, ensuring adherence to protocol and security standards. Responsibilities include vehicle maintenance, administrative support, and general logistic assistance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reliable and secure driving services for UN Women Country Director/Head of Office, high-ranking officials, visitors, and programme/operations personnel.
  • Deliver and collect mail, documents, and other items.
  • Meet official personnel and visitors at the airport, assisting with visa and customs formalities when required.
  • Ensure passengers wear seatbelts and oversee actions in case of accidents.
  • Adhere to UN Women vehicle management policies and ensure vehicles comply with security and safety standards.
  • Drive responsibly to contribute to environmental sustainability and cost-saving.
  • Maintain daily vehicle logs, mileage, consumption, servicing, and repair records.
  • Prepare and maintain vehicle maintenance plans and reports.
  • Ensure official vehicles are kept clean and in good working condition.
  • Perform minor vehicle repairs and arrange for major repairs.
  • Conduct regular checks of vehicle components (oil, tires, lights, brakes, etc.).
  • Arrange for winterization of vehicles when required.
  • Maintain availability of required documents and supplies in the vehicle.
  • Provide general administrative and logistic support, including filing, photocopying, mailing, and bill payments.
  • Assist with organization of shipments, customs clearance, and preparation of shipping documents.
  • Provide administrative support to conferences, workshops, and events.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
Required Experience

At least 3 years of relevant experience as a driver in an internationally recognized company, organization, embassy/consulate or UN system with a safe driving record is required.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary education is required. Valid driver’s license is required.

Working knowledge of English is required. Fluency Turkish is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish).
