Overview

Asociada/o de Diversidad e Inclusión will ensure Gender, Diversity and Inclusion (GESI) principles and sexual exploitation and abuse prevention (PSEAH) are integrated into projects. The role supports technical and operational aspects for gender equality and social inclusion across projects and the office.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support in the generation, creation, development, and implementation of GESI plans for the office and projects.
  • Offer operational support in coordinating activities derived from these plans and propose recommendations for their effective execution.
  • Support the dissemination and operational monitoring of the PSEAH policy in the office and construction sites, compiling incident reports or findings.
  • Assist in reviewing documents and processes to verify alignment with Human Rights, Gender Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion approaches.
  • Provide logistical support and prepare minutes or informational notes for UNOPS participation in inter-agency coordination spaces.
  • Collaborate in data collection and feeding information analysis tools with a GESI/GDI approach.
  • Contribute to generating and maintaining updated analysis of specific GDI and PSEAH risks for operations and projects.
  • Maintain the regional dashboard updated by quarterly data registration and support the consolidation of inputs for annual reports.
  • Monitor project results from a GESI perspective to measure their real impact.
  • Assist in reviewing draft tender terms using UNOPS GESI institutional guides and templates.
  • Operationally support the dissemination of vacancies in diverse talent networks and establish alliances with diverse talent networks.
  • Monitor data on vulnerable groups in the country to identify opportunities for strategic alliances and inclusion initiatives.
  • Support the development of awareness campaigns and create training and communication materials for internal staff, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Document and systematize processes and lessons learned on integrating gender and diversity approaches in UNOPS.
  • Accompany the team in meetings with communities or contractors to provide technical support, conduct training, and socio-educational presentations on GESI.
Required Experience

Minimum 6 years (or 2 years with a bachelor's degree) of relevant experience in Gender, Diversity, and Inclusion, preferably contributing to project development and/or team training in the Panamanian context. Experience in facilitating socio-educational and/or community processes is desirable. Experience in issues related to the inclusion of persons with disabilities is desirable. Work experience in international organizations is desirable.

Qualifications

Required: Secondary school level diploma. Desirable: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Social Work, Anthropology, Sociology, Social Communication, International Relations, Community Psychology, or related social science fields. Training in gender, cultural diversity, disability, or human rights is valued.
