The Project Manager will provide strategic and adaptive leadership for project management, ensuring results-based planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting in line with UNDP's programming principles.
Minimum of 5 years (with master’s degree) or 7 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in project/programme management in the development sector, including at least 3 years in a senior managerial role is required. Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programmes including managing teams, sizeable budgets and partnerships and delivering results at scale is required. Proven experience working across one or more development areas: governance, social protection, climate change, disaster risk management, gender equality, poverty reduction, sustainable energy, health or crisis recovery is required. Demonstrated experience leading, supervising and developing teams, including managing senior personnel or sub‑teams is required. Proven experience in strategic, analytical and structured‑writing and communication including for senior government, donor and Board‑level audiences is required. Experience building and sustaining institutional relationships with senior government, donor and partner counterparts is required.
Advanced University Degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Public Administration, Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, Law, Environment, Engineering or any other relevant discipline is required; Or A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) in the above fields in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
