Overview
The Community Engagement Analyst will ensure the proper implementation of the Social Management Plan and Stakeholder Engagement Plan for the EIB Recovery Programmes. The role aims to strengthen social cohesion and inclusion, ensure community participation, transparency, and accountability in project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support needs assessments, situational and policy analyses in target regions.
- Establish and strengthen working relationships with sub-national and local partners.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate stakeholder consultations and field missions.
- Contribute to the formulation of project concepts, proposals, and implementation plans.
- Liaise with partners and facilitate communication on project activities.
- Manage the organization of project activities, including logistical and procurement actions.
- Oversee monitoring and evaluation of activities.
- Provide recommendations for adjustments to work plans.
- Contribute to the preparation of progress reports.
- Support the planning and organization of Project Board meetings.
- Execute work missions.
- Support assessments to identify local community recovery and development needs.
- Conduct stakeholder mapping and develop/execute stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Support the establishment of cross-sectoral partnerships.
- Facilitate collaborations between public authorities and stakeholders.
- Work with local and regional stakeholders to support community-led initiatives.
- Provide support for resource mobilization strategies for community-led initiatives.
- Support communication and networking with project donors and other relevant entities.
- Act as a trainer and resource person for training organized for communities and partners.
- Identify, communicate, and share best practices and lessons learned.
- Contribute to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
- Proactively share information with the IG team and UNDP country office.
- Support the implementation of communication plans and dissemination of communication products.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other UN agencies, governmental institutions, NGOs, and other organizations on monitoring and evaluation issues.
Required Experience
Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in regional or community development or related areas.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Law, International Relations, Political Science, Media or other related fields is required. A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the fields described above in combination with additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of Master’s degree.
