Overview

Internship opportunity within the Division of Internal Oversight Services to support audit, investigation, and evaluation functions. The role aims to provide assurance on program delivery, reliable management information, and continuous improvement in UNESCO's operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting audits of operations, gathering evidence, examining records, analyzing data, and drafting audit findings and reports.
  • Support the development of policies and procedures for administrative investigations, assess allegations of misconduct, and assist in drafting investigation documents.
  • Aid in evaluating the relevance, impact, and effectiveness of UNESCO programmes and projects, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings.
Qualifications

Currently enrolled and on the 3rd or final year of a Bachelor's degree; OR currently enrolled in a second university degree (Master's or PhD) or equivalent; OR completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree no more than 12 months prior to the issuance of the Internship Agreement. Applicants in technical/vocational assignments must be enrolled in a specialized technical/vocational institution and have reached the last year of studies, or have recently graduated (within the last 12 months).

You should have an excellent command, both written and spoken, of English or French.
Languages Preferred
A working knowledge of the other language (English or French) is an asset, and may be required for internships in secretarial and assistantship assignments at the Headquarters.
