Overview

This internship focuses on digital inclusion policies and practices within the Arab region, supporting policymakers in developing and improving national policies and guidelines for digital inclusion and accessibility.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct background research, retrieve and compile information, and prepare input for project activities, including the digital inclusion policy template, assessment tool, inclusive Arab region event, and the project's e-inclusion digital platform.
  • Prepare statistical tables and graphs and support on the preparation of presentations and background material.
  • Support the project team on the review of documents, data and information.
  • Assist the project team on event preparations and track workplans and milestones.
  • Support the preparation of draft reports, briefings, presentations and correspondences, and on the translation of documents (English/Arabic).
  • Contribute to teamwork and updates for the ADIP project online portal.
  • Support teamwork on other related tasks, as needed.
Qualifications

Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent); or have graduated with a university degree. Applicants must be computer literate in standard software applications. Applicants must have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter. Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
