Overview
Provide technical support for the implementation of integrated land management activities under the Agriculture and Land Component, including land use planning, territorial development planning, land degradation assessment and monitoring, and stakeholder capacity development.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse existing land use and territorial development plans.
- Prepare technical specifications, bidding documents, and co-financing arrangements for land management plans.
- Develop technical specifications and equipment requirements.
- Develop science-based guidelines and methodologies for land management planning, implementation, assessment, and monitoring.
- Organize and deliver capacity-building activities.
- Facilitate participatory processes for the preparation and documentation of land management and territorial development plans.
- Supervise and monitor the work of contractors and consultants.
- Coordinate with government institutions, local authorities, communities, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation, including progress reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
At least seven years of relevant professional experience in land management, land use planning, territorial development, natural resource management, or related fields.
Qualifications
University degree in Land Management, Geography, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Spatial Planning, Forestry, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
