Overview

The Project Coordinator will lead and coordinate program and project operations, ensuring alignment with FAO's strategic objectives and stakeholder needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning and implementation of project activities.
  • Monitor project budgets and ensure compliance.
  • Collect and analyse data related to FAO activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of work and travel plans.
  • Facilitate communication within the project team and liaise with FAO units.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement and awareness campaigns.
  • Plan and organize technical workshops, training sessions, and field missions.
  • Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Maintain organized records of project documentation.
  • Oversee procurement requests for project inputs.
  • Provide support in preparing Letters of Agreement (LoA) and contractual arrangements.
  • Draft reports, correspondence, and other project-related documents.
  • Execute other related tasks as required.
Required Experience

A minimum of five years of relevant experience in project management, particularly in agriculture or food security-related initiatives, programming and program implementation, and technical cooperation.

Qualifications

University degree in agriculture, agro-forestry, fisheries, agricultural economics, rural development, development studies, and project management, or a related field.

Proficiency in English (level C) is required. Demonstrated communication skills (oral and written) in English and local languages.
