Overview
The Project Coordinator will lead and coordinate program and project operations, ensuring alignment with FAO's strategic objectives and stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and implementation of project activities.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure compliance.
- Collect and analyse data related to FAO activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of work and travel plans.
- Facilitate communication within the project team and liaise with FAO units.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and awareness campaigns.
- Plan and organize technical workshops, training sessions, and field missions.
- Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Maintain organized records of project documentation.
- Oversee procurement requests for project inputs.
- Provide support in preparing Letters of Agreement (LoA) and contractual arrangements.
- Draft reports, correspondence, and other project-related documents.
- Execute other related tasks as required.
Required Experience
A minimum of five years of relevant experience in project management, particularly in agriculture or food security-related initiatives, programming and program implementation, and technical cooperation.
Qualifications
University degree in agriculture, agro-forestry, fisheries, agricultural economics, rural development, development studies, and project management, or a related field.
