Overview

Provides technical and operational support for developing and implementing evidence-based strategies for Social and Behavior Change (SBC) in programme development and implementation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and utilize research, data, and evidence to inform SBC program design, measurement, and monitoring.
  • Design, plan, and implement SBC activities backed by social and behavioral evidence and strong engagement mechanisms.
  • Select and employ effective SBC activities and platforms to engage parents and caregivers.
  • Support operationalization of SBC by advocating, mobilizing resources, coordinating across stakeholders, and building partnerships.
  • Promote continuous learning and capacity building in SBC for UNICEF staff and partners.
Required Experience

A minimum of five years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: social development programme planning, social and behavior change, communication for development, public advocacy or another related area.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or another relevant technical field. A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
