Overview
The Cold Chain Officer will be responsible for technical contributions to the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and administration of Immunization (EPI) programme/project activities. The role aims to enhance immunization coverage and strengthen teamwork and capacity building.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate, complete, and up-to-date programme/project management information for effective budget preparation, design, implementation, management, and evaluation.
- Enhance project efficiency, effectiveness, and vaccination coverage through effective implementation follow-on.
- Prepare timely progress reports and project work plans, and provide technical support for donor, annual, and other reports/project documentation related to EPI.
- Ensure the appropriateness and completeness of financial and supply documentation and adherence to established allotments.
- Strengthen the capacities of Country Office staff and teamwork through effective capacity building activities in the development, implementation, and management of the Immunization Programme.
- Promote knowledge sharing with donors and media.
- Achieve effective communication, networking, and collaboration with internal and external partners.
Required Experience
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in immunization supply chain strengthening, including the installation and maintenance of solar refrigerators and provision of technical support for other primary health care (PHC) infrastructure is required.
Qualifications
Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in one of the disciplines relevant to Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Health, Public Health, or a field relevant to technical assistance in immunization Supply Chain and Logistics (iSCL) is required.
