Overview
Support programme implementation, grants monitoring, and reporting by assisting with technical reviews of reports and documentation of programme achievements.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to review of grantee narrative reports and provide comments on completeness, quality, and consistency vis-a-vis workplan and approved proposal.
- Support review of financial reports and support documentation against approved budgets and reporting requirements.
- Assist in tracking reporting schedules and following up on outstanding reports from grantees.
- Support compilation and analysis of project data and results.
- Assist in consolidating programme information for donor reporting, annual reporting, and terminal evaluation requirements.
- Support maintenance and organization of programme databases and electronic filing systems.
- Assist in tracking project progress against workplans, indicators, and agreed deliverables.
- Support data collection, verification, and documentation of programme results and lessons learned.
- Contribute to documenting key outcomes from workshops, stakeholder meetings, and National Steering Committee engagements
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in project management, programme management, monitoring and evaluation, grants management, or a related field is desirable.
- Experience reviewing project reports, analyzing programme information, and preparing concise summaries and recommendations.
- Strong report-writing, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large volumes of information, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of grants management, monitoring and evaluation, donor-funded projects, or results-based management is desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other data management and analysis tools.
- Familiarity with environmental conservation, biodiversity, climate change, or community development programmes is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
- Being based in, or able to work within, the East Africa Time (EAT) time zone (UTC+3) will be an added advantage to facilitate coordination with the programme team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in project management, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related discipline.
