Overview
The Protection Information Officer will coordinate information dissemination on available services, design and deliver information sessions, and maintain information on referral processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits to deliver information on rights and access to services.
- Manage the delivery of group information sessions and collect records.
- Design and implement information campaigns.
- Contribute to the maintenance of service mapping.
- Identify, establish and support referral mechanisms.
- Make referrals to relevant service providers and conduct follow-up.
- Receive cases referred from other agencies.
- Provide feedback about actions taken to other agencies.
- Keep an up-to-date referral tracking sheet.
- Conduct advocacy to local service providers.
- Coordinate with relevant partners for referrals and technical support.
- Support the team to upload and entry date online.
- Document all referrals accurately.
- Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
- Manage, file and store data, ensuring confidentiality.
- Provide updates about work planning.
- Support the implementation of M&E tools and report on problems.
- Participate in reporting and planning meetings.
Required Experience
At least two years of prior professional experience in a similar post, preferably with an international organization. Good protection background and knowledge of local context. Experience in information management and data analysis. Experience in public speaking and presentation skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Social Science, International Relations, Human Rights, Law, Community Health, Development, or a related field.
