Overview

Lead the definition and delivery of a structured improvement program for the Oracle HCM module, acting as project manager and facilitator to identify, prioritize, and implement enhancements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Elicit, capture, and document requirements for Oracle HCM enhancements.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive backlog of HCM improvement items.
  • Lead the prioritization of the backlog with senior stakeholders.
  • Develop a detailed implementation plan for the first wave of improvements.
  • Drive the project, monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and escalate blockers.
  • Put project controls in place and use them for delivery and reporting.
  • Provide regular status reports to senior stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business teams and SMEs.
  • Set up and maintain the project documentation repository.
  • Partner with IT and technical teams to ensure technical feasibility.
Required Experience

Demonstrable experience of managing end-to-end requirements gathering, backlog definition, and prioritisation, ideally in an ERP or HRIS context. In-depth knowledge of programme and project management practices and standards, with proven experience working at a global level. Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget, using project management processes and tools including risk management, benefits management, financial management, and quality assurance. Strong facilitation skills with experience leading workshops and working sessions with diverse, cross-functional stakeholder groups. Proven ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills, and to work collaboratively to deliver effective solutions to project-related issues. Developed organisational awareness and ability to navigate a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, driving progress through influence rather than direct authority. Experience with Oracle HCM or a comparable HRIS/ERP platform is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills (written and oral English), including the ability to present clearly and with confidence to senior leaders. Able to demonstrate instances of initiative that have delivered tangible organisational benefits. Business process analysis skills and an ability to translate business requirements into clearly documented user stories or enhancement specifications. Experience in change management activities including stakeholder engagement, impact assessment, and communications planning is desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Understanding of a structured Project methodology (e.g. PRINCE2) or accredited Project Management training (APM or PMI). Non-profit sector knowledge/experience (especially international development projects) is desirable.
