Project Analyst - Strategic Fund Unit, IPSA9, Nairobi, Kenya, UNCDF [Open to Tier 0, 1 & 2 applicants]

Overview

Provide cross-cutting project implementation support to the Strategic Funds Unit and broader investment-related initiatives of UNCDF, focusing on operational, analytical, and coordination tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and desk analysis to support project design and implementation.
• Prepare first drafts of notes, presentations, and reports.
• Support internal and external stakeholder engagements through interviews and meeting documentation.
• Coordinate logistics for project governance structures.
• Support the planning of events and workshops.
• Prepare procurement documentation.
• Support the recruitment and onboarding of consultants.
• Maintain project tracking systems.
• Contribute to priority initiatives.
• Identify, synthesize and document best practices and lessons learned.
• Participate in and ensure sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
• Support establishment of knowledge platforms for the project.
• Facilitate innovative mechanisms for dissemination of knowledge.
• Develop knowledge resources and products.

Required Experience

Minimum of two (2) years (with Master’s degree) or four (4) years (with Bachelor’s degree) of relevant work experience in digital financial services is required. Demonstrated experience in an impact investment organization is required. Demonstrated experience in project management and multipartner coordination required.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or relevant related field is required. Or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
