Overview

Provide technical expertise to strengthen agrifood investment planning, financing mechanisms, and public-private partnerships in Fiji.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare an inception report.
  • Assess the agrifood investment environment, financing mechanisms and public-private partnership opportunities.
  • Undertake stakeholder consultations to identify investment opportunities and financing constraints.
  • Identify priority agrifood investment opportunities in collaboration with the National Value Chain Analyst Consultant.
  • Develop a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework.
  • Assess financing needs and develop an MSME support and financing package.
  • Prepare the Fiji Agrifood Value Chain Investment Roadmap 2026–2030.
  • Coordinate the planning and implementation of the National Agrifood Investment Forum.
  • Facilitate stakeholder validation of key investment outputs and document partnership commitments.
  • Prepare investment briefs and the final consultancy report.
Required Experience
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in investment facilitation, public-private partnerships, agribusiness development, investment planning, private sector development, finance or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in investment facilitation, public-private partnerships, agribusiness development or private sector development.
  • Experience undertaking investment, financing or business environment assessments.
  • Experience developing investment strategies, financing mechanisms or partnership frameworks.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder consultations and multi-sector coordination.
  • Experience working with government institutions, development partners or United Nations agencies is desirable.
  • Experience working in Fiji or the Pacific region would be an asset.
  • Work experience in more than one location or area of work
Qualifications

University Degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, Commerce, Investment, Agribusiness or a related field.
