Overview
The Intern will provide support to WFP Japan Relations Office in communication and partnership under the technical supervision of the Communication Officer and the supervision of Director, WFP Japan Relations Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance of the WFP website and social media channels by creating compelling videos and social media assets;
- Develop, manage, define the tone and generate content for the WFP Japan social media presence such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and possibly others;
- Assist in organizing media interviews, following up on requests for information from media, keeping accurate records of media coverage;
- Produce information and audio-visual materials, brochures and other documentation;
- Collect, compile and produce donor visibility materials;
- Produce reports on WFP communications/fundraising activities as required;
- Support the preparation of visibility initiatives, including public events and seminars;
- Assist in maintaining/building WFP Japan's relationships with media, external actors including the private sector, NGOs, academia;
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
Currently enrolled with at least 2 years undergraduate studies completed, or recently graduated (within the past 6 months) in the field of international relations, business, marketing, or related areas of study; University course attendance in the past 12 months.
