Overview
Responsible for day-to-day construction/maintenance project site activities, supervising contractor work to ensure compliance with contract documents, quality, health, safety, and gender requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise contractor work on site.
- Monitor material and workmanship quality.
- Evaluate and agree on executed work quantities with contractors.
- Verify contractor interim and final payments.
- Assure correctness of site levelling and surveying.
- Check locations of existing utilities and resolve technical difficulties.
- Record deviations from working/as built drawings.
- Prepare Variation Orders and Extension of Time requests.
- Assess and record details of additional works, including costs.
- Maintain Facilities Management Information System (FMIS) records.
- Prepare daily and weekly technical/financial progress reports.
- Examine and approve contractor methods for safe execution of works.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Required Experience
At least three years’ experience on site supervision of construction/maintenance/infrastructure projects is required.
Qualifications
University degree in civil engineering from an accredited university/ institution.
