Overview
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking an experienced GBV Team Leader to ensure high-quality delivery of integrated Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Psychosocial Support (PSS) services through technical supervision and support for programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce supervision in GBV case management and PSS activities, including coaching and mentoring.
- Conduct case file audits and survivor-centered capacity assessments.
- Carry out periodic MHPSS capacity assessments.
- Support development of capacity-building plans for GBV and PSS staff.
- Oversee data collection and information management.
- Manage WGSS and supervise facilitators and community volunteers.
- Oversee Dignity kits provision.
- Conduct GBV risk assessments and safety audits.
- Mainstream GBV across Non-protection sectors.
- Oversee cash/assistance to GBV survivors.
- Ensure GBV Case management services are in place and updated.
- Line-manage Protection Officers (GBV & PSS).
- Ensure high-quality case management for GBV survivors and individuals with specific needs.
- Ensure high-quality delivery of structured and unstructured PSS programming.
- Lead field assessments, safety audits, coordination with partners, referrals, and capacity-building initiatives.
- Ensure all activities are implemented in compliance with donor and DRC regulations.
- Support project planning (work plans, procurement plans, HR plans, communication plans, and budget management).
- Maintain oversight of DRC WGSS field spaces.
- Provide technical support, supervision, and guidance to the GBV team.
- Identify technical gaps and implement solutions.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and day-to-day supervision of GBV staff.
- Ensure staff compliance with international protection standards and best practices.
- Strengthen the capacity of GBV Officers.
- Monitor staff performance and conduct performance evaluations.
- Contribute to GBV proposals with field-based inputs.
- Ensure timely and effective implementation of activities, including budget tracking, procurement, and reporting.
- Act as an alternate focal point for GBV programming.
- Attend GBV Sub-Cluster and MHPSS Working Group meetings.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and service providers.
- Conduct evidence-based advocacy for vulnerable populations.
- Ensure up-to-date service mapping and staff awareness of available services.
- Monitor and ensure achievement of targets.
- Ensure compliance with the DRC Code of Conduct.
- Participate in relevant trainings and coaching.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Proven experience (at least 3 years) in GBV case management. Demonstrated experience in team supervision and leadership. Experience handling high-risk cases. Familiarity with displacement contexts (IDPs, returnees, refugees) is an advantage.
Qualifications
University degree in Gender Studies, Psychology, Social Sciences, International Law, Humanitarian Affairs, or a related field.
