Key Responsibilities
  • Undertaking literature reviews, analysis and compilation of data from secondary sources on population trends, international migration, and population ageing.
  • Assisting in organizing meetings and reviewing working papers and reports.
  • Developing audio-visual materials and creating substantive website content.
  • Analysing data using Excel and other statistical products.
  • Performing other assigned duties.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent), preferably in fields such as social studies with data studies; demography; international relations; statistics; human rights law. Applicants must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Teams.

Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage, particularly Chinese or Russian.
