Overview
Support the implementation of project activities, supervise caseworkers, and coordinate on-site activities with stakeholders for mental health and psychosocial support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination of daily operations and services provided to residents by IOM case workers.
- Supervise the caseworkers’ team in the implementation of their activities.
- Collaborate to support the organization and facilitation of MHPSS needs assessments, surveys and research.
- Support the coordination of basic vulnerability screening activities.
- Support the identification of training needs and resources of the team and volunteers.
- Prepare weekly updates on trends and challenges.
- Escalate sensitive issues and provide weekly analysis of complaints and feedback.
- Assist in providing the caseworks’ team with tools and updated information materials.
- Maintain contact with agencies to support the coordination of information sessions and outreach activities.
- Support directing residents to available services.
- Maintain established coordination and partnerships with civil society organizations.
- Keep abreast of policies, standards and best practices affecting international protection applicants in Ireland and share updates.
- Apply established referral pathways when incidents affecting residents are reported.
- Assist the project with the monitoring, evaluation and reporting tasks.
Required Experience
- Six years of relevant experience with a high school diploma; or, at least four years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree and accreditation in Social Work.
- Experience supporting case management or assistance programmes for migrants.
- Experience supporting social work and vulnerability assessment activities.
- Experience providing direct assistance to migrants and/or refugees preferred.
- Knowledge and experience working with State agencies and non-governmental organisations in Ireland preferred.
- Understanding of international standards, best practices, issues related to displacement and integration.
- Previous work experience or training on mental health and psychosocial support to migrants is an asset.
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment is an advantage.
- Previous experience with international organizations, NGOs, EU Agencies and/or Irish law enforcements or Government’s Departments would be an asset.
Qualifications
High school diploma; or, Bachelor’s degree and accreditation in Social Work from an accredited academic institution.
