Overview

The Senior Technician (IT Change Management) role supports NATO's Digital Endeavour by managing, delivering, and maintaining Communication and Information Systems (CIS) products and services. The position is based in Torrejon, Spain, and involves transforming IT services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Undertakes basic risk management activities.
  • Maintains documentation of risks, threats, vulnerabilities and mitigation actions.
  • Uses standard techniques to elicit, specify, and document requirements for simple subject areas with clearly-defined boundaries.
  • Assists in the definition and management of requirements.
  • Applies tools, techniques and processes to administer, track, log, report on and correct configuration items, components and changes.
  • Assists with audits to check the accuracy of the information and undertakes any necessary corrective action under direction.
  • Applies tools, techniques and processes to administer, track, log, report on change requests.
  • Applies change control procedures for standard, low-risk changes.
  • Identifies common types of infrastructure and non-infrastructure changes in information technology.
  • Describes the process of change management and the key deliverables of IT service.
Required Experience

2 years post-related experience with higher vocational training in a relevant discipline, or 4 years post-related experience with a secondary educational qualification. 2 years of practical experience in managing change request from initiation to closure while engaging with relevant process owners and stakeholders. 2 years of experience in configuration management, maintaining CMDB/inventory accuracy, performing audits and reconciliations, managing software licenses, and administering external vendor support contracts and SLAs. Experience in leading small teams.

Qualifications

Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline or a secondary educational qualification.
