Overview
This role involves managing and developing geospatial data and metadata, supporting data-centric working from a geospatial perspective, and facilitating data interoperability within NATO.
Key Responsibilities
- Data management and metadata management.
- Systems handling on exchange platforms.
- Data schema development and data modelling.
- Facilitation among data owners for data interoperability.
- Liaison with key stakeholders.
- Communication of technological information to non-technical audiences.
- Data governance development and application.
- Data innovation and exploration of new data value derivation methods.
- Strategic approach to business issues and their implications.
- Communicating data through visualization and storytelling.
- Data analysis and synthesis to derive actionable insights.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of experience with Geo-located data and wider data science and analytics.
- Professional experience and development of choices is an asset.
Qualifications
Higher Secondary education and completed intermediate vocational training in geography, computer science, information technology, business administration or related discipline leading to a formal technical or professional certification with 2 years experience, or secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
