Overview

The Nurse Supervisor will provide technical support and competency-based supportive supervision to health nurse staff, and assist in developing and implementing capacity development plans.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinic technical and capacity building to health nurse staffs.
  • Provide nurse orientation package to mobile clinic nurses.
  • Provide training on tele-medication to health staffs and health workers.
  • Provide technical trainings (PHC, SRHR, IPC training, etc) to mobile clinic staffs.
  • Supervise and manage nurses, clinic assistants and health workers for clinic setting readiness.
  • Ensure c-IYCF counselling is in place and effectively by providing coaching and on job training.
  • Ensure health nurse staffs follow guidelines of drug and commodities management.
  • Conduct regular competency based supportive supervisions and provide technical supports.
  • Organize and provide regular on the job training to health nurse staffs.
  • Assist in identifying essential technical capacity building plan for health nurse staffs.
  • Coordinate closely with technical advisors and Capacity Building Team for capacity development.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence of standard infection prevention and control.
  • Help in identifying and establishing proper health care waste management.
  • Participate in program monitoring and evaluation.
  • Participate in partner(s) mobile and static clinics monthly work plan.
  • Submit monthly program narrative report.
  • Participate in relevant surveys of the project.
  • Assist on preparation of donor, IRC in-country and HQ report.
  • Assist in coordination and relationship with health stakeholders.
  • Assist in establishing diseases surveillance system and outbreak response.
  • Work closely and coordinate with program support teams.
  • Provide procurement documents in advance.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of formative assessments and baseline studies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience working with UN agencies, INGOs, or LNGOs in a relevant field.

Qualifications

Licensed Nurse with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing
