Overview
The IRC seeks a general practitioner with experience in community health promotion, disease prevention, and comprehensive management of moderate and severe malnutrition. The role also involves promoting sexual and reproductive rights, contraception, and voluntary termination of pregnancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to programmatic goals with team support.
- Provide daily care for 20-24 users, focusing on nutrition.
- Offer counseling and care for voluntary termination of pregnancy.
- Conduct external and internal referrals.
- Document daily activities and care in organizational software.
- Submit daily statistics on care provided and diagnoses.
- Submit daily individual health service provision records (RIPS).
- Report public health events for SIVIGILA platform.
- Provide comprehensive follow-up to patients.
- Accompany educational sessions and continuous training.
- Issue pharmacological referral orders.
- Complete and sign diagnostic support referral forms.
- Comply with organizational and Colombian health authority protocols.
- Implement recommendations from supervision and program management.
- Manage medical supplies and devices.
- Submit periodic activity reports.
- Identify subsidy per service and point of care.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and strategic program development.
- Coordinate with other IRC areas for holistic service delivery.
- Complete and submit daily statistics.
- Populate health program databases.
- Ensure successful external and internal referrals.
- Comply with municipal and departmental regulatory requirements.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years in community health promotion and disease prevention activities with highly vulnerable groups in mixed migratory flows. Minimum of 2 years in managing pregnant and lactating women in mixed migratory flows.
Qualifications
Professional in medicine, with a professional license and current Rethus registration.
