Overview

This role leads the NGO Platform (NGOP) Secretariat, a coordination mechanism for NGOs in the Rohingya refugee response and wider humanitarian operations in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. The purpose is to strengthen collaboration, advocacy, information sharing, and accountability.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and strengthen engagement with NGO networks, consortia, coordination platforms, governments, UN agencies, donors, and other strategic partners.
  • Represent the organisation in external forums, influencing policy discussions and advocating for effective humanitarian action.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships that support organisational priorities and humanitarian objectives.
  • Provide leadership on humanitarian coordination and response efforts in complex and dynamic operating environments.
  • Contribute to strategic planning processes and support the delivery of organisational objectives.
  • Foster collaborative ways of working and build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote an inclusive, values-driven culture that supports teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning.
Required Experience

Significant experience in humanitarian coordination, humanitarian response, or international development, with a proven track record in senior coordination, leadership, or management roles. Significant experience working with NGO networks, consortia, or coordination platforms. Strong experience engaging with governments, UN agencies, donors, and other external stakeholders. Proven experience in strategic planning and partnership management. Experience in complex humanitarian emergencies. Experience in humanitarian policy, advocacy, and external representation. Demonstrated experience operating in complex humanitarian emergency contexts. Experience supporting proposal development and donor reporting.
