Internship opportunity in the Outreach Division of the Department of Global Communications, focusing on promoting Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Action.

Key Responsibilities

• Tracking, researching and analyzing information on climate change and sustainable development.
• Drafting and compiling information products for target audiences.
• Conducting photo and graphic research.
• Assisting with the implementation of communications campaigns.
• Assisting with the organization of events on SDGs or Climate Action.
• Maintaining and updating media and subscription mailing lists.
• Media Monitoring.

Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme. Applicants must be computer literate in standard software applications; knowledge of information management and design applications such as Trello and Canva are required. Have knowledge of Office 365 Tools, content management systems and website monitoring tools (especially Drupal and Google Analytics).
