Overview

This internship supports the Office of the Special Adviser on Africa (OSAA) in graphic design, videography, and social media content creation. The role aims to enhance OSAA's knowledge products and digital presence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in layout and design of OSAA knowledge products (e.g., factsheets, policy briefs and papers).
  • Support the creation of digital assets such as flyers, visuals, and graphics.
  • Provide technical assistance in preparing visual assets for OSAA publications.
  • Support the production and editing of multimedia content for OSAA's social media accounts.
  • Assist in preparing multimedia content for OSAA's social media and website.
  • Support improvements to the layout and presentation of existing content.
  • Assist in creating simple data visualizations for reports and presentations.
  • Provide technical input for improving the visual quality of OSAA materials.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva

Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
