Overview

The Supply Chain Internship-International provides students and recent graduates with practical experience in a United Nations humanitarian environment, applying academic knowledge to workplace assignments and learning about Supply Chain functions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with research, data collection and analysis related to assigned projects.
  • Review available information and documents relevant to the assigned work.
  • Assist in documenting existing business processes and workflows.
  • Support the preparation and updating of SOPs, guidance documents, templates and working materials.
  • Assist with data analysis, reporting and preparation of dashboards.
  • Support the identification of process gaps, challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct research and benchmarking on relevant practices used by international organizations and other institutions.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports and project documentation.
  • Support the testing or development of simple digital tools, forms, dashboards or automation concepts, where appropriate.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions relevant to the assigned project.
  • Maintain organized records of assigned work.
  • Present the results of the internship assignment to the supervisor or relevant team.
  • Perform other related learning and project assignments within the scope of the internship.
Qualifications

Applicants should normally be in the final years of an undergraduate programme or currently enrolled in a Master’s programme; or recent graduates, subject to applicable UNRWA internship requirements. Applicants should be studying in a discipline relevant to the internship area, including but not limited to: Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Inventory and Fleet, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Organizational Development, Computer Science, Information Technology. Other closely related disciplines may also be considered depending on the specific internship assignment.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
