Overview
Provide specialized, comprehensive support to programme implementation within the sciences unit, focusing on water and disaster risk reduction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily support for program/project team in planning, preparing and implementing projects’ activities.
- Receive, analyse, sort, register, file and distribute correspondence and documents.
- Support administration of projects, including procurement, recruitment, contracting, and logistics.
- Draft and follow up on correspondence/memos.
- Prepare and organize events/meetings and workshops, taking notes and preparing minutes.
- Arrange for missions and make travel arrangements.
- Provide interpretation and translation support.
- Prepare/handle procurement and contracts, administration of contracts and contract’s tracking.
- Provide inputs for reports and collect information and literature relevant to the project.
- Track, compile and maintain project filing and relevant databases.
- Work closely with national/provincial partners for effective project implementation.
- Assist in communicating with service providers.
- Coordinate and assist translation of documents, and provide interpretation during meetings.
- Assist in recording and compiling statistics, M&E data and analysis for project monitoring and reporting.
- Support tracking expenditure progress of the project.
- Coordinate editing, design, printing, and dissemination of publications.
- Participate in relevant advocacy, outreach and communication activities.
- Perform any other tasks as deemed appropriate.
Required Experience
At least 3 years of relevant work experiences in programme/project support, financial, and/or administrative service acquired at the national level, and/or in natural resources/water/climate change/environment related projects/programmes; or minimum one (1) year (with Bachelor’s Degree) of relevant experience.
Qualifications
Completed secondary education, technical or vocational education.
