Overview
The role supports the implementation of the FAO China Communication Strategy to increase the visibility of FAO's work and promote its corporate image.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the FAO China Communication Strategy.
- Form and maintain strategic partnerships with media networks.
- Collate information and develop digital assets for social media channels.
- Advocate and promote FAO’s mandates, missions and purposes.
- Provide technical support in the development and implementation of communications plans.
- Maintain regular coordination with RCO and OCC.
- Prepare and disseminate press releases and social media posts.
- Support the strengthening of FAO’s media relations and public visibility.
- Administrate and monitor the FAOCN website.
- Create, improve and maintain a national media database.
- Increase the number of good photos from the work of FAOCN.
- Track and log all media reports involving FAO at country level.
- Identify training requirements in communications and provide training for staff.
- Support GEF team in the office to publish project newsletters.
- Provide communications training for the FAO-GEF project management offices.
- Assist in the communication work of FAO DPRK.
- Ensure all communication materials will follow FAO clearance processes and comply with FAO standards.
Required Experience
At least three years of relevant experience in communication, journalism, media engagement, public relationship or related fields.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, television production, or other relevant qualifications
