Overview

The Finance Associate serves as the deputy to the Finance/Admin team, supporting the Head of Finance/Admin in delivering transactional services to BPPS client teams. The role ensures efficient and compliant financial management and reporting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support administration and financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, monitoring, and analysis.
  • Ensure reporting and compliance with UNDP financial regulations and donor requirements.
  • Assist in providing administrative support services, including inventory and asset management.
  • Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing on financial policies and best practices.
  • Contribute to systems and procedures implementation and optimization for financial management.
Required Experience

Minimum 7 years of experience in finance or accounting with secondary education, or 4 years with a bachelor's degree. Experience with financial reporting and analysis is required. Knowledge of UNDP financial regulations, experience using accounting software and tools, and experience in project financial management are desirable.

Qualifications

Secondary Education with specialized certification in accounting and/or Finance. University degree in Finance or Accounting is desirable. Part-qualified accountants from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy will have a distinct advantage. Fully Qualified Accountant, from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy or Full Completion of the UNDP Finance Training and Certification Programme (FTCP).
