Overview

The HR Analyst supports the delivery of career transition services, focusing on inter-agency moves, transition pools, unassigned staff, and corporate separation processes, along with associated workforce analytics.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation, review and continuous improvement of Career Transitions policy, procedures and tools.
  • Provide analytical, administrative, and logistical support to key career transition processes.
  • Prepare and process official documentation related to staff inter-agency moves, unassigned staff and related corporate separation processes.
  • Coordinate and provide administrative support to recruitment processes involving unassigned staff.
  • Provide administrative and substantive support to staff in transition and coordinate case management.
  • Serve as a focal point for staff, managers and HR focal points.
  • Provide job-search and career transition support to unassigned staff and staff in transition.
  • Communicate with staff and managers on policy interpretation.
  • Collaborate with other OHR teams and Bureau focal points.
  • Maintain professional discretion and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate the collection, analysis and interpretation of HR data related to processes managed by the unit.
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Prepare analytical reports, briefing notes and presentations for senior management.
  • Contribute to the documentation of business requirements for the relevant HR IT systems.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across systems.
  • Develop and update guidance notes, SOPs and training materials.
  • Support the facilitation of training to and advise TADAS personnel.
  • Identify, synthesize and document best practices and lessons learned.
  • Make sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
Required Experience

Minimum of two (2) years (with Master’s degree) or four (4) years (with Bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience in providing centralized Human Resources services is required. Experience in administering career transition processes (e.g. inter-agency moves and separations) is highly desirable. Experience in data analysis and interpretation, including use of business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel or similar), to support reporting and decision-making is desirable. Experience working in the UN System, particularly entailing cross-agency collaboration is desired. Demonstrated experience in drafting clear and concise communication materials, including reports, guidance notes, or briefing documents is desirable. Experience of working in an ERP system and proven understanding of HR data structures and workflows is highly desirable. Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver output within established deadlines is an asset. Demonstrated ability to provide support or guidance to managers and personnel in the implementation of HR processes is highly desirable.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Management, Business Administration or any other related field is required, OR A first level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the above-mentioned fields, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
