Overview

Provide technical expertise and capacity building on organizational development to women’s professional associations and women’s platforms promoting the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda in Moldova.


Key Responsibilities
  • Hold in-depth consultations with the leadership of women’s professional associations/ platforms promoting the WPS Agenda in Moldova to extract the key organizational issues by applying a standardized Tool for the identification of needs, challenges and development opportunities;
  • Deliver analytical reports emerging from the consultations by formulating concrete recommendations for enhancing the organizational capacities and outreach;
  • Provide technical guidance, inputs and advice on strategic planning of the women’s professional associations from security, justice and defence sectors and to women peacebuilders’ platforms, upon request;
  • Develop learning modules/methodology on strategic communication, gender-sensitive communication, resource mobilization, advocacy and/or other topics, as applicable, based on identified needs;
  • Deliver trainings, coaching sessions, workshops similar to mentorship programme in broader and more individualized groups;
  • Develop a Final Report on the assignment, summarizing lessons learned, challenges, and recommendations for future capacity-building opportunities.
Required Experience

At least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in human resources, corporate training, or organizational development is required. Experience in planning, executing, and measuring organizational transformation projects is required. Experience in developing and delivering gender-sensitive leadership training and/or employee engagement programs is required. Experience working with international organizations, including the UN, is an advantage.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent in Organizational Development, Public Administration, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Certification on organizational behavior, change management, or data analysis would be an added advantage.

Languages Required
Fluency in Romanian and English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of any other UN official language is an asset.
Contract Duration
12 months (up to 40 days) with possible extension.
Work Modality
home-based consultancy. The consultant is expected to be present in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, for the delivery of the training sessions and related face-to-face activities.
Remuneration
The Consultant shall be paid for the services performed under the Contract on a per-day basis.
