Overview
The Field Office Engineer is responsible for the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of financial and administrative issues for FICIP projects, as well as coordinating tendering processes and providing technical evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation, monitoring and reporting of all FICIP financial and administrative issues.
- Follow up and coordinate relevant issues with finance and HR, ensuring commitment to agency rules and regulations.
- Prepare agency cost estimates for detailed designs of FICIP construction and maintenance projects.
- Coordinate with the procurement department for timely submission of tenders.
- Coordinate pre-classified contractors, verify, ensure, and follow up on contractor bank guarantees, security deposits, and insurance validity.
- Prepare contract documents and coordinate tendering processes for construction and maintenance projects.
- Participate as a member of the technical evaluation team (TET) for FICIP tenders.
- Provide technical advice and prepare final technical evaluation reports.
- Attend department and other meetings, draft minutes, and assist in following up on action points.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports and statistics.
- Coordinate and serve as the main contact focal point with project offices on tender clearing, project progress, and donor sharing.
- Provide validity information on direct implementation costs (DPIC), outlining supervision, office requirements, and other costs.
- Keep track of the status of expenditure on each donation and related line of expenditure for each project.
Required Experience
At least Three years relevant professional experience, in which at least two years should have been in contract and tender administration and evaluation is required.
Qualifications
A university degree in civil/ Architecture engineering from an accredited university/institution.
