Overview

Consultant to support the implementation of a social work project by preparing budget breakdowns and physical and financial schedules.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare budget breakdown and physical and financial schedule for social work activities.
  • Participate in technical alignment meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with UN-Habitat quality standards and project requirements.
  • Complete indicated courses and training activities.
  • Ensure adoption of ethical principles.
  • Maintain an orderly and accessible information file system.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in coordination of social work, technical assistance or advisory initiatives for slum upgrading plans or projects in Brazil.
  • Previous experience in preparing budgets and physical-financial schedules for Social Work Planning (Projeto de Trabalho Social - PTS) in slum upgrading plans or projects in Brazil.
  • Previous experience within or with the United Nations System is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Sciences or related fields is required.
  • Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Social Sciences or related fields is required, or additional four (4) years of relevant experience to the post, beyond the requirement.

Fluency in Portuguese is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of English is desirable.

Remuneration
LICA 3 (Part-time 55%) - BRL: 16.000,00 (Total net amount). Payment 1 [50%]: Upon delivery and approval of Products 1 and 2 (BRL: 8.000); Payment 2 [50%]: Upon delivery and approval of Products 3 and 4 (BRL: 8.000).
