Overview
To strengthen the communications capacity of the United Nations Youth Office by supporting the delivery of communications products, digital content, and strategic campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the communications strategy and editorial calendar.
- Draft, edit and produce high-quality communications materials.
- Support planning, drafting and scheduling of social media content.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of social media content and digital communications.
- Support multimedia storytelling.
- Support production and dissemination of the Office's monthly newsletter.
- Support communications planning and implementation for global observances, campaigns and advocacy initiatives.
- Support communications planning and delivery for the UN Youth Townhall.
- Support monitoring and reporting on communications performance.
- Undertake other communications and editorial assignments as required.
Required Experience
At least two years of progressively responsible experience in communications, digital communications, journalism, public information or a related field is required.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in communications, journalism, media studies, public relations, international relations or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
