Overview
Provides assistance and support to the Logistics Unit in the management of shipping, air freight, customs clearance, tax clearance, and insurance-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input to Customs Clearance and Shipping activities.
- Participate in forecasting, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of supply chain operations.
- Attend to correspondences and documentation related to offshore supplies.
- Manage air/seaport & customs clearance related activities.
- Maintain contacts with local government authorities and program partners.
- Close follow up on bonded stock status and GIT.
- Monitor direct handovers to implementing partners.
- Provide country-specific guidance and advice on shipping matters.
- Monitor collection of Model 19s, GRNs, Shipping Area Deliveries in Vision.
- Ensure correct procedures related to customs clearance are maintained.
- Prepare Status of Shipments.
- Facilitate payment related to in-country logistics, freight forwarding, and local customs clearance.
Required Experience
At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in operations, supply management, contracting, logistics, supply chain management, procurement, customs clearance, shipping, freight forwarding, inventory management, vendor management, government liaison, import/export activities, or other related fields is required.
Qualifications
Secondary Education in any related fields is required.
