Overview

Provide experienced support for the implementation, socialization, and adoption of UNICEF’s data governance initiatives, with a focus on assessing and improving data readiness for AI.


Key Responsibilities
  • Translate technical products, guidance, and decisions into practical engagement materials.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate implementation activities.
  • Support rollout and adoption.
  • Strengthen organizational capacity to operationalize approved data governance products and services.
  • Operationalize agreed products.
  • Support stakeholder uptake.
  • Document learning.
  • Ensure timely follow-through across concurrent workstreams.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in data governance, data management, data strategy, information management, data architecture, analytics, or related fields.
  • Experience establishing and supporting data accountability models.
  • Experience with data quality, metadata management, data cataloguing, master data management, and data asset management.
  • Experience supporting AI readiness, responsible AI, or data preparedness initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in international, multilateral, governmental, non-governmental, or development-sector organizations.
Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master’s level or equivalent) in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Governance, Statistics, Public Policy with a strong data component, or another relevant field related to data management and governance.
