Overview

The Partnerships Manager will contribute to the promotion of children’s rights in Afghanistan by collaborating with the Resource Mobilization team to enhance partnerships, negotiate fundraising opportunities, and manage donor resources. The role involves managing a team and ensuring capacity for effective partnerships.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Resource Mobilization team and others to ensure the exchange of knowledge.
  • Enhance and develop partnerships and engagement with donors.
  • Negotiate and capture fundraising opportunities.
  • Ensure high quality, effective stewardship of donor resources.
  • Manage a team of professionals and ensure capacity in place to deliver effective partnerships.
  • Support the Country Office advocacy within the scope of the assignment.
  • Execute assigned work-plans.
  • Regularly support senior management in defining the resource mobilization and advocacy direction and design.
  • Manage the Contribution management cycle.
Required Experience

A minimum of eight years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: public affairs, resource mobilization, external relations, or other relevant area.

Qualifications

Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Political Science, Communications, Social Science, Management, Public Administration, International Development, international relations or another relevant technical field.

Fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is considered as an asset.
