Overview
The Human Resources Officer will ensure the Entitlements and Benefit team delivers professional, client-focused HR services and partners with managers to implement HR solutions aligned with WFP corporate priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of country office specific plans and processes.
- Deliver HR operational activities or projects following standard processes.
- Provide advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures, processes, systems and tools.
- Administer conditions of service, contracts and appropriate entitlements.
- Resolve employee relations issues.
- Accurately process national payroll within delegated authority.
- Deliver onboarding activities for new employees.
- Contribute to building and managing talent within WFP.
- Assist managers in succession planning.
- Guide and supervise junior staff.
- Collect and analyze data for reporting.
- Implement new/updated HR policies, procedures and systems.
- Recommend improvements to ways of working.
- Lead various projects within Human Resources management function, including a payroll project.
Required Experience
Total relevant 7 years of experience including 3 years of Professional experience in Human Resources with an interest in international humanitarian development.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or other relevant field, or First University degree with three additional years of related work experience.
