Internship opportunity in the Office of Inspections and Investigations (OIGI) focusing on investigations strategy and litigation support. The role involves assisting with report reviews, legal research, and investigative work.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the technical and quality review of investigation reports and other written products, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Review underlying evidence for investigation reports.
  • Conduct legal research within the internal framework of other UN agencies and administrative jurisprudence.
  • Assist in the development of OIGI investigative internal framework.
  • Assist with preliminary assessment of complaints and ongoing investigations.
Required Experience

Experience in investigations is desirable.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme in Law or other related fields from a recognized university OR recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate programme in Law or other related fields (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme) from a recognized university; University course attendance in the past 12 months.

Remuneration
Interns receive a monthly stipend from WFP up to the maximum amount of US$1000 per month depending on the duty station of assignment. WFP will reimburse travel ticket for candidates who are nationals of developing countries and are pursuing their studies in their home country.
