Overview

The National Project Officer on Labour Mobility will be responsible for the management and delivery of project activities under the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion thematic area in Uzbekistan.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination and monitoring of operational, administrative and financial aspects of the project.
  • Keep the supervisor informed on project implementation status and suggest improvements.
  • Participate in the development of work plans, project budgets, M&E tools and SOPs.
  • Coordinate data collection, verification and analysis, and update information management systems and social media platforms.
  • Coordinate timely preparation and dissemination of project reports.
  • Liaise and coordinate with donors, partners, UN agencies, local authorities and government counterparts.
  • Contribute to planning, development, organization and delivery of capacity building activities.
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops, working groups and meetings.
  • Participate in the preparation of project proposals, concept notes and planning documents.
  • Supervise and provide training and technical guidance to project staff.
  • Undertake duty travel relating to project implementation, monitoring, assessments and liaison with counterparts.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
  • Two years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree; or Master's degree.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
  • Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.

Languages Required
Fluency in English and Uzbek is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of Russian (written and oral).
Contract Duration
Fixed-term (1 year with possibility of extension)
