Overview
Support Program Managers in planning and implementing project activities and objectives for Cash-Based Interventions (CBI) in line with global and IOM standards. Coordinate and monitor operational, administrative, and financial aspects of CBI.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Program Managers in planning and implementing CBI activities.
- Coordinate and monitor operational, administrative, and financial aspects of CBI.
- Promote and contribute to the integration of cross-cutting issues in CBI activities.
- Support in identifying and monitoring transfer mechanisms and financial service providers.
- Support in implementing needs and market assessments.
- Contribute to the development of standard operations procedures and technical guidelines.
- Coordinate and monitor the work of sectoral CBI focal points.
- Support in the preparation and integration of CBI in project documents.
- Monitor the mission’s CBI interventions, document and evaluate results.
- Support report writing related to CBI in Afghanistan.
- Participate in Cash Working Group or other CBI-related meetings.
- Undertake duty travel to monitor project implementation and provide on-site guidance.
Required Experience
- University degree with five years of relevant professional experience; or Completed High School with seven years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in cash programming in humanitarian contexts, preferably across multiple sectors, including experience in emergency and conflict environments.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national or international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- Experience in project management.
- Strong experience with databases, assessment tools and reporting.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions or organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
University degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Political Science, Humanitarian Studies, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or Completed High School from an accredited academic institution.
