Overview
The Project Assistant is responsible for project operations funded by Expertise France, focusing on strengthening Egypt’s primary health care system. The role aims to improve service quality and inclusivity through health system strengthening, community engagement, and innovative delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure activities are implemented according to the Plan of Action and in a timely manner and in line with the project budget.
- Support the project team with administrative and logistical services.
- Issue payments to field teams and supervise the settlement of open advances.
- Keep track of project expenses sheets and project financial documents.
- Monitor cash flow.
- Assist the project manager in developing and monitoring project financial offline trackers.
- Assist the team in budget forecasting.
- Carry over all procurement requests.
- Support the project team in organizing trainings, workshops, and other events in the field.
- Support in coordinating meetings with stakeholders.
- Organize and maintain project files, including electronic and paper records.
- Maintain project stationeries supplies inventory.
- Act as a focal point with Finance, Admin, and Supply Chain support units.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance and filing of required documents.
- Follow up on vendor payments and purchase orders.
- Maintain proper inventory records of project material and publications.
- Report weekly to the line manager on task updates.
- Promote children's rights and contribute to their well-being and protection in times of emergencies.
- Act in a way that facilitates SCI’s response to emergencies.
- Be prepared to support SCI interventions in response to emergencies and show needed flexibility.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of successful experience in project implementation with a reputed organization or NGO.
- Proven knowledge and skills in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Good knowledge and familiarity of reporting mechanisms and styles.
- Experience in financial accounting and administration (preferably in a similar setting).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Commerce, Political Science, or any other related studies.
