Overview

Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the Protection from Violence (PfV) programme in Haiti. The role aims to reduce and mitigate the impact of violence and other protection risks on individuals and communities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of the PfV team.
  • Performance management, including definition of individual objectives and regular follow-up.
  • Development of organizational charts, hiring processes, induction and staff training plan.
  • Develop/update the PfV strategy, technical SoPs / guidelines and Macro Log-frames (MLF).
  • Ensure compliance with NRC policies, Global PfV Strategy, PfV tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Define, adapt and grow NRC's PfV programme in Haiti.
  • Ensure development strategies align with national strategies and global protection frameworks.
  • Lead proposal writing/program development processes to diversify donors' funding base.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior project implementation role in a humanitarian or recovery context.
  • Experience working in complex and volatile humanitarian contexts.
  • Experience in protection case management and community-based interventions.
  • Documented results related to job responsibilities.
  • Experience facilitating training both at office level and in the field.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Haitian context as a plus.
  • Experience in implementing new protection programmes, including evaluation, strategy development and programme proposals.
  • Knowledge and understanding of humanitarian standards such as Sphere and PAH.
  • Experience in staff training and capacity building, and aptitude for community mobilization.
Qualifications

Advanced academic qualification in a relevant field (law, social sciences or related disciplines).

Languages Required
Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of Haitian creole is considered an asset.
Contract Duration
12 months (renewable subject to funding and performance)
